At Ancestralis, we only use grass-fed and grass-finished Scottish Highland and Hereford cattle raised in open nature reserves in Groningen and Friesland, The Netherlands—never feedlots. These animals live as they have for centuries: always outdoors, in natural social groups, raising their young together. The farmer interferes only when necessary, such as helping a cow deliver her calf. The result is a stress-free life, optimal health, and the most nutrient-rich tallow possible.
